Since May 18, the race for Olympic qualification ranking points has officially started. These points will determine athletes' positions on the road to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
For Jeremy Quindos, this stage is especially important. The World Triathlon Championship Series Quiberon was only his second race at the World Triathlon Championship Series level. His first experience at this level came last year at the 2025 World Triathlon Championship Finals Wollongong in Australia.
Following the race in Australia, a great deal of work was done. The team analyzed the race strategy, race execution, key mistakes, and the small details that directly affect performance at this level. That work is already beginning to pay off — Jeremy is showing consistent progress, earning valuable ranking points, and moving up the standings.
At the World Triathlon Championship Series event in Quiberon, Jeremy finished 43rd. The outcome of the race was decided by just a few seconds in transition: his wetsuit got caught on his timing chip, costing him about 10 seconds. That was enough to leave him in the third cycling pack.
Despite this setback, Jeremy delivered his best run to date and once again proved that at the World Series level, every detail matters.
After the finish, he said: "At this level of racing, mistakes are not forgiven."
Next up is another key event — the World Triathlon Championship Series race in Hamburg — and another opportunity to earn valuable Olympic qualification ranking points!
